You just put one of our SIMs into your existing phone, whatever network you’re with; you can even keep your number if you want. Some phones may require unlocking. And when you top-up a tenner, you become a member, simple as that. We use the O2 network, so our coverage is good.

As a member, you can get really involved with the company. You’ll get the opportunity to do loads (if you want to), from designing the marketing to recruiting new members – and we’ll reward you for it.

giffgaff have a number of things we reward people for doing. You can find them on the ‘payback’ page on the main site. Essentially, you top-up points by getting involved, and we attribute a cash value to those points, paying you every 6 months in the giffgaff payback window. A favour for a favour, that kind of thing – so you can yik, yak and give back.
